Emergency Give Back Days-If no more emergency/snow days are used, we will be closed on
the following days:
Friday, May 24th (Friday before Memorial Day)
Tuesday, May 28th (Tuesday after Memorial Day)
*If we use one of our remaining emergency/snow days, then school would be in session on Tuesday, May 28th.
Summer Program- Our fabulous summer program has a few spots left. Enroll today! Contact Miss. Lexi at 315-717-1790 with questions or to register.
Fall Registration-We are accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year. Please register today! Be sure to tell your neighbors, coworkers and friends about our exceptional program. Thank you!
Hannaford Helps Schools – Hannaford Helps is back for Spring 2024. Find details on how to raise money for our school on the sheet that went home with your child. There is a QR code that will allow you to send your proceeds straight to St. Francis Early Childhood Learning Center from now to June 1st.
**LOST AND FOUND-A pair of gold and white sunglasses was found after Mother Goose Olympics on April 26th. Please contact the school office if these are yours!
Field Trip Permission Slips-These went home last Friday for our Prek-4 students to the Utica Zoo and also to our Kindergarten and First Grade students to The Wild at Chittenango, both trips are on June 6th. Please have these permission slips signed and returned no later than Monday, June 3rd.
Next PSA Meeting-Wednesday, May 29th at 6:30PM
Field Day-Please pack a lunch for your child this day. We will be having a Bounce House on the premises. A waiver will be going home soon to ensure you are aware that your child will be in the bounce house that you give your full permission. There will also be face-painting at the event and you’ll need to acknowledge your permission for that as well.
Everyday Reminders:
Arrival & Pick-up – Please creep slowly into the parking lot when coming in to drop off or pick up your child and help us keep everyone safe.
Recess – Please dress your children for outside weather. We will take the children out as often as weather permits.

School Closings – There will be a parent alert sent out in case of an emergency closing. It will also be listed on WKTV. If you have not been receiving these – let the office know.
Gym – Please make sure sneakers are being worn or brought in on gym days (Tues/Thurs).
Child Care Billing – Please make sure you are logging onto FACTS and paying your outstanding child care bills.
Bottle/Can Redemption – If you take your bottles & cans to the Mohawk Redemption Center, you can let them know that the proceeds can go to St. Francis de Sales Early Childhood Learning Center. And if you have any empty ink cartridges, they can be donated to us to earn supplies and discounts.

PSA meeting-The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 16th at 6:30pm in the library.Parent Survey – A survey sheet will be going home with your child tomorrow. Please complete this anonymous survey before Friday, January 26th You can send it back in an envelope and we will place the envelope in our survey box. Your answers will help us make sure we are doing the best we can to make St. Francis de Sales the best place for your child. Thank you so much! Half-Birthdays – If you have a child with a July birthday, we will celebrate their birthday in January on or as close to the same date as their birthday in July. Check with your child’s teacher for more details on a date. Open-House – Our open house will be taking place during Catholic Schools Week – Tuesday, January 30 th from 6-8 PM. This event will be on our Facebook and website. Please feel free to share our advertisement. Book Fair – Our Book Fair will run Monday, January 29th through Friday, February 2nd. Teachers will take students a few at a time on Monday & Tuesday to create wish lists. We will ask parents to send money in an envelope for their child to purchase books on Wednesday or Thursday. Parents may also visit our book fair during Open House and on Friday after school until 3:30. We are looking for parent volunteers to run our Book Fair 2:30-3:30 Monday-Friday. If you are interested, please contact the office to sign up for that time any day!
