News Notes

November 5, 2019

Date Change – Burger King Lunch day is now scheduled for Monday, November 18th. Please have the order form and money in no later than Thursday, November 14th if you have not already done so.

Poinsettia, wreath, and coffee sales begin today, Wednesday, November 6th and all orders are due back to school on Thursday, November 21st.

Thank you to all who donated a box of gifts to a child in need for this Christmas. Thank you to Nancy Saunders, our Nurse, for setting us up with Samaritan’s Purse – Operation Christmas Child and for being our chair person.

Thank you to all the parents who have donated drinks, snacks, and toys to our before and after care programs. It is greatly appreciated. We are now all set for snacks, but could still use donations of 100% juice drinks.

Utica Zoo Mobile will be here on Friday, November 15th. This program is sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Calli. If you see them, please say thank you on behalf of your child.

Our All School Finger Food Festival is Tuesday, November 26th. Again, this is for all grades. Each child may invite one guest to eat with him/her. Enclosed is a special invitation for that special person. Please send the RSVP slip that’s inside the invitation back to your child’s teacher by Thursday, November 21st. The invited guest will meet their child at his/her classroom at 10:15. Please watch for a sign-up sheet outside your child’s classroom for food donations needed for this event. Thank you.

Christmas Concert – Please mark your calendars for Friday, December 13th at 6:00. Please plan to meet in the classrooms at 5:30. All of the children will be wearing a Nativity costume. We will be letting you know which costume as soon as possible.

We are actively working on the suggestions to the survey responses. One of our major concerns is improving the safety of our children at arrival and dismissal times. You have noticed that we are now asking you to identify yourself and the reason you are at school. We are asking that one family at a time buzz in so if people around you do not know you, they do not have to question themselves about letting someone in the door. Thank you for helping us with this process.

*Please return your survey if you have not done so. Some surveys have not yet been returned.
